Contact DSD EducationUnit of Measurement (UOM) ka use kisi bhi Stock Item ki quantity ko measure aur record karne ke liye kiya jata hai.
Simple words mein:
Unit of Measurement batata hai ki product ko kis unit mein count ya measure kiya jayega.
Jaise:
| Product | Unit |
|---|---|
| Laptop | Nos |
| Keyboard | Nos |
| Rice | Kg |
| Mobile Cable | Nos |
| Cloth | Meter |
| Petrol | Litre |
| Paper | Ream |
| Water | Litre |
Agar DSD Computers ke paas 50 keyboards hain, to Tally mein quantity 50 Nos ke form mein record ki ja sakti hai.
Inventory maintain karte waqt sirf product ka naam sufficient nahi hota. Uski quantity aur measurement unit bhi important hoti hai.
For example:
Laptop = 20
Yeh clear nahi hai ki 20 kya?
Isliye Tally mein Stock Item ke saath proper Unit define ki jati hai.
Dell Laptop → 25 Nos
RAM → 100 Nos
Rice → 500 Kg
Cable → 200 Meter
Business ke according different units use ki ja sakti hain.
| Unit | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Nos | Numbers | Laptop – 10 Nos |
| Kg | Kilogram | Rice – 50 Kg |
| Gram | Gram | Spice – 500 Gram |
| Litre | Litre | Oil – 20 Litre |
| Meter | Meter | Cable – 100 Meter |
| Box | Box | Keyboard – 10 Box |
| Dozen | 12 Pieces | Pen – 5 Dozen |
| Pair | 2 Pieces | Shoes – 20 Pair |
| Set | Complete Set | Computer Set – 10 Set |
Tally Prime mein generally units ko do important categories mein samjha ja sakta hai:
Ek single measurement unit.
Examples:
Do simple units ko combine karke banaya gaya unit.
Example:
1 Box = 10 Nos
Yahan:
Compound Unit useful hota hai jab business mein goods ko Box, Dozen, Carton etc. mein purchase/sell kiya jata hai, lekin stock actual pieces mein bhi track karna ho.
Simple Unit ek basic measurement unit hoti hai jo directly quantity ko represent karti hai.
Laptop → Nos
Agar 15 laptops hain:
15 Nos
Rice → Kg
Agar 100 kg rice hai:
100 Kg
Cable → Meter
Agar 250 meter cable hai:
250 Meter
One Product + One Measurement = Simple Unit
Jab do simple units ko combine karke quantity ko represent kiya jata hai, use Compound Unit kaha jata hai.
1 Box = 10 Nos
Agar business ke paas:
5 Box
hain, to total quantity:
5 × 10 = 50 Nos
DSD Computers keyboard ko box mein purchase karta hai.
1 Box = 20 Keyboards
Purchase:
5 Boxes
Total stock:
5 × 20 = 100 Keyboards
Unit create karne ke liye generally:
Gateway of Tally → Create → Unit
Ya:
Alt + G → Create Master → Unit
Tally version/configuration ke according menu wording thodi different ho sakti hai.
Suppose humein Nos unit create karni hai.
Tally Prime open karein.
Apni company select karein.
Go to:
Gateway of Tally → Create → Unit
Unit Creation screen open hogi.
Select:
Type = Simple
Unit details enter karein.
Example:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Simple |
| Symbol | Nos |
| Formal Name | Numbers |
| Decimal Places | 0 |
Ctrl + A press karke save karein.
Decimal Places decide karta hai ki quantity mein decimal values kitni digits tak show hongi.
Agar decimal places:
0
hai:
10 Nos
Agar decimal places:
2
hai:
10.50 Kg
Weight-based products mein decimal quantity useful ho sakti hai.
10.50 Kg
Lekin laptop ke liye normally:
10 Nos
use kiya jayega.
Piece counting → Usually 0 decimal
Weight/measurement → Decimal ki need ho sakti hai
Suppose:
1 Box = 10 Nos
To Compound Unit create karke Tally ko quantity relationship batayi ja sakti hai.
Example:
Box of 10 Nos
Agar:
3 Box
sell kiye:
3 × 10 = 30 Nos
Isse inventory quantity ko properly track karna easy ho jata hai.
Unit create karne ke baad Stock Item create karte waqt us unit ko select kiya jata hai.
Example:
HP Keyboard
Nos
50 Nos
Ab Tally inventory mein keyboard ka stock Nos mein maintain karega.
DSD Computers ke paas following products hain:
| Stock Item | Unit | Opening Stock |
|---|---|---|
| Dell Laptop | Nos | 20 |
| HP Keyboard | Nos | 50 |
| Mouse | Nos | 75 |
| LAN Cable | Meter | 500 |
| Printer Ink | Nos | 30 |
Ab jab purchase/sales entry ki jayegi, quantity selected unit ke according record hogi.
DSD Computers purchased:
10 Dell Laptops
Entry:
Purchase → Dell Laptop → 10 Nos
Stock increase:
20 + 10 = 30 Nos
DSD Computers sold:
5 Dell Laptops
Stock:
30 − 5 = 25 Nos
Is concept ko simple way mein samjho:
Stock Group
↓
Stock Item
↓
Unit of Measurement
↓
Quantity
Computer Accessories
↓
Keyboard
↓
Nos
↓
100 Nos
Products ki exact quantity maintain hoti hai.
Purchase ke time correct quantity enter karna easy hota hai.
Sales ke time product quantity properly record hoti hai.
Stock reports mein quantity clearly show hoti hai.
Different products ke liye different units use kar sakte hain.
Box, carton, dozen etc. ke through stock manage karna easier hota hai.
| Unit | Stock Item |
|---|---|
| Measurement batata hai | Product batata hai |
| Nos, Kg, Litre, Meter | Laptop, Mouse, Keyboard |
| Quantity measure karta hai | Actual inventory represent karta hai |
| Example: Nos | Example: Dell Laptop |
Item = Kya hai?
Unit = Kitna hai?
Example:
Laptop = Item
Nos = Unit
20 = Quantity
Students Tally Prime mein following units create karein:
Phir following Stock Items create karein:
| Stock Item | Unit |
|---|---|
| Laptop | Nos |
| Keyboard | Nos |
| Rice | Kg |
| Cooking Oil | Litre |
| LAN Cable | Meter |
Product ke liye wrong unit select karna.
Kg wale product ko Nos mein maintain karna.
Decimal requirement ko ignore karna.
Compound unit ka conversion incorrectly define karna.
Stock Item create karne ke baad wrong unit assign karna.
U = Unit
Q = Quantity
R = Record
Correct Unit → Correct Quantity → Correct Stock Record
Aur ek simple formula:
Stock Item + Unit + Quantity = Inventory Record
| Topic | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Unit of Measurement | Quantity measure karne ka standard |
| Simple Unit | Single measurement unit |
| Compound Unit | Combined measurement relationship |
| Nos | Numbers/Pieces |
| Kg | Kilogram |
| Litre | Liquid measurement |
| Meter | Length measurement |
| Decimal Places | Quantity ke decimal digits |
| Stock Item | Actual product |
| Quantity | Product ki amount |
