Simple words mein:
Jis account ka relation kisi person ya person-like entity se ho, use Personal Account kehte hain.
Yaani sirf kisi individual ka account hi Personal Account nahi hota. Companies, firms, banks aur organisations ke accounts bhi Personal Accounts ho sakte hain.
Personal Accounts ko generally 3 types mein samjha ja sakta hai:
Real human beings se related accounts.
Examples:
Aisi entities jo human nahi hain, lekin law ke according separate identity rakhti hain.
Examples:
Aisa account jo kisi person ya group of persons ko represent karta hai.
Examples:
In accounts ke peeche actual persons ki amount involved hoti hai.
Personal Account ka sabse important rule hai:
🟢 Debit the Receiver
🔵 Credit the Giver
Jo receive kare → Debit
Jo give kare → Credit
Receiver = Debit
Giver = Credit
Is rule ko students ko accounting entries banate waqt sabse pehle identify karna chahiye.
Business ne Ajay ko ₹5,000 cash diye.
Yahan:
Therefore:
Ajay A/c → Debit
Cash A/c → Credit
| Account | Dr. | Cr. |
|---|---|---|
| Ajay A/c | ₹5,000 | |
| To Cash A/c | ₹5,000 |
Ajay ne cash receive kiya, isliye Ajay A/c Debit.
Cash business se gaya, isliye Cash A/c Credit.
Business ne Rahul se ₹10,000 cash receive kiya.
Yahan:
Therefore:
Cash A/c → Debit
Rahul A/c → Credit
| Account | Dr. | Cr. |
|---|---|---|
| Cash A/c | ₹10,000 | |
| To Rahul A/c | ₹10,000 |
Rahul ne business ko cash diya, therefore:
Giver = Credit
Business ne Mohan ko ₹8,000 payment ki.
Mohan = Receiver
Therefore:
Mohan A/c → Debit
Cash/Bank A/c → Credit
Mohan A/c Dr. ₹8,000
To Cash A/c ₹8,000
Business ne ABC Traders se ₹20,000 ka goods credit par purchase kiya.

To ABC Traders A/c ₹20,000
Yahan ABC Traders ka account Personal Account hai.
Business ne Rahul ko ₹15,000 ka goods credit par sell kiya.
Rahul ne goods receive kiye.
Rahul = Receiver
Therefore:
Rahul A/c → Debit
Rahul A/c Dr. ₹15,000
To Sales A/c ₹15,000
Transaction dekhte hi ye questions poochho:
Kya account kisi person/entity se related hai?
Agar haan → Personal Account ho sakta hai.
Dekho:
Who received?
→ Debit
Who gave?
→ Credit
| Account | Type |
|---|---|
| Ajay A/c | Personal |
| Rahul A/c | Personal |
| ABC Traders A/c | Personal |
| SBI Bank A/c | Personal |

| Personal Account | Real Account |
|---|---|
| Person/entity se related | Asset/property se related |
| Receiver/Giver rule | Comes in/Goes out rule |
| Debit Receiver | Debit what comes in |
| Credit Giver | Credit what goes out |

Rahul A/c Dr. ₹2,000
To Cash A/c ₹2,000
